Check out my visit to Mr. Brainwash's pop up gallery at The High Line, nice sunset walk at West Side Highway down to World Trade Center and ended with watching Straight Outta Compton movie.

I've been waiting for this show forever. The first time I knew Mr. Brainwash (aka Thierry Guetta) would have a show this summer was when me and my boy Yurie got off the High Line Park in 14th and 10th then I accidentally saw a big piece of painting inside this big open space from the window that is covered with what it seem to be the famous Star Wars trooper. I mean it had graffiti and spray paint all over it so I thought it must have something to do with Mr Brainwash. Not to mention prior to seeing this under construction space I've been seeing Mr Brainwash a few times in Mercer Hotel so I thought the two had a connection.
Fast forward a month or two later, I peeped Mr Brainwash's Instagram and there it was! He just had a soft opening last Sunday. Being a big Brainwash fan that I am, I cannot miss this opportunity and had to go see the show. It wasn't announced in public as far as I know and the photos of people that went on Sunday wasn't even aware that it was the first day.
I was so hype to see his work in the flesh besides the ones I see in galleries (a poster signed by Mr Brainwash himself cost from $800+ up if you purchase them in galleries). Check out my video below originally uploaded via SnapChat @ajlavilla as I went about my day to visit Mr Brainwash' surprise exhibit in High Line, Meatpacking District New York City.
The photos I took below are my favorites and stood out the most among others :) enjoy!
